Project: Brand Launch Site Rebuild for a Boston HR Consulting Firm

Moraware wanted to segment leads by how much of a webinar they actually watched, and that meant getting real engagement data flowing into both Google Tag Manager and HubSpot at the same time. We built a single custom tracking layer that reports webinar engagement consistently across both platforms, replacing a patchwork of partial signals with one source of truth. Once it was live, we generalized the same system to cover any video on any page instead of just gated webinars, so new video content gets tracked automatically without extra setup.

Outcome: Accurate, cross-platform video engagement data that Moraware’s marketing team uses to qualify and segment leads.

Hult Prize runs a global startup competition for university students, and they wanted a new website that could support real marketing work: well-planned forms, campaign pages, and content their own team could manage. We built the entire site as a headless Next.js front end on Storyblok, developed from their team’s designs and to their parent organization’s engineering standards. Every page is assembled from reusable content blocks, so the marketing team builds and publishes pages without a developer. Since launch we’ve stayed on as their developer for ongoing work: application and registration forms tied into their CRM, the accelerator startup pages, and a full rebrand.

Outcome: An editor-friendly headless site that launched without a technical hitch and keeps growing with the program.

Atlantic Retail is a retail real estate brokerage with offices from Boston to Los Angeles, and they needed a new site to carry a refreshed brand. Working alongside their internal marketing team, who led the design, we built the entire site as a custom WordPress theme: service pages, a team directory with office filtering and contact details, property listings, and a nationwide office map. Everything runs on editable content blocks, so the marketing team updates pages, people, and properties themselves. We tuned the site for speed, accessibility, and SEO, and have stayed on as their developer since, adding structured data, accessibility improvements, and new sections as the business grows.

Moraware makes the software countertop fabricators use to quote, schedule, and track their jobs, and their marketing site was due for a rebuild off the aging page-builder theme it had grown up on. We rebuilt the whole site in WordPress on a modern, component-based builder: every product, pricing, and resource page, the blog and its archives, right down to the 404. We built the core components on the priority pages first and reused them everywhere else, so the site stays consistent and the marketing team can build new pages on their own. Accessibility, SEO, and page weight were tuned before launch instead of patched after. We still look after the site, and newer work like refreshed homepage sections builds on the same components.

RNRF LLC is an HR consulting firm in Greater Boston, and its founder was launching a fresh brand and needed a new site to go with it, moving off an older page-builder theme. I worked with the talented Michelle Chase Designs on the design: she designed the brand and the pages flat, and we collaborated on the responsive decisions so every layout holds up from phone to desktop. We rebuilt the whole site in WordPress on a modern, component-based builder: home, about, a blog, and a contact form, all editable without a developer. It was built as one engagement with its sister site, Rock and Roll Fables.

Rock and Roll Fables has covered music, comics, and media since 2013, and with more than 1,800 posts behind it the site needed a new look without losing any of that archive. I worked with the talented Michelle Chase Designs on the design: she designed it flat, and we collaborated on the responsive decisions. We rebuilt the site in WordPress on a modern, component-based builder, moving it off an older page-builder theme: a featured-story homepage, a browsable post grid, templates for every article and archive, and a submission form for bands and artists looking for coverage. It was built as one engagement with its sister site, RNRF LLC.

TomorrowNow, Tomorrow.io’s nonprofit arm, had been running its site on a headless JavaScript front end that only a developer could touch, so every copy change meant a ticket and a deploy. Their team wanted to own their own pages again. Working from their designer’s Figma files, we rebuilt the whole site in WordPress with a custom theme: home, programs, get involved, about, a video library, the blog, and a pair of campaign landing pages, with newsletter signup and Google Tag Manager wired in. We ran QA straight against the Figma files and handed the team a site they can edit themselves, no developer required.

Outcome: A fully editable WordPress site the nonprofit’s own team runs day to day, with newsletter and analytics built in.

Our client kicked off a fresh solar consulting biz that needed to chat with two totally different crowds. The challenge? Keeping it short, sweet, and super engaging for both. Teaming up with Marie here at SBC for some slick branding, design, and content magic, we cooked up a website that’s not just simple and effective, but also rocks a consistent brand voice and identity. We built this gem in WordPress using Elementor, making it a breeze for the client to clone pages for new markets. Plus, there’s a neat custom portfolio system under the hood, complete with custom post types, fields, and some nifty coding.

Our client’s marketing team is expanding, and they’re transitioning to a more robust, custom PHP solution for their website. Collaborating closely with their talented design and development teams, I’ve successfully migrated their ‘space’ section from Elementor-built pages to fully customized PHP pages. We’ve also integrated custom fields in the backend, empowering their team to easily update text and content as needed.

The client had a growing collection of valuable resources for their audience and needed a smart way to display it all on one page, integrated with their existing WordPress site. Using a combination of custom post types, tailored fields, Elementor, and some custom coding and design, we created a cohesive and easy-to-navigate resource page. This approach not only aligned with their current CMS but also enhanced the overall user experience on their site.

The client, launching a new upscale steakhouse, required a distinctive brand and a website that mirrored the elegance of their venue. Collaborating with Marie at SBC, who crafted a stunning brand identity, we developed a website that resonates with the restaurant’s upscale ambiance. Built on WordPress and utilizing Elementor, a key highlight of the site is the custom food menu system. I harnessed custom post types and fields within the WordPress CMS to dynamically showcase their current restaurant menu on the frontend, seamlessly blending it with the exquisite branding.

This client who was a burgeoning startup approached me with the desire to have their new documentation site, hosted on ReadMe, reflect their established brand identity and align with their primary marketing website. Utilizing a blend of custom HTML and inline CSS styling, I transformed the designer’s conceptual flats into a fully-functional, visually cohesive digital reality. The outcome is a polished, responsive documentation homepage that seamlessly echoes the startup’s brand aesthetics.

The client, already equipped with a solid brand and website, sought a new partnership due to dissatisfaction with their previous agency’s pricing and slow turnaround times for updates and edits. Stepping in as their go-to developer, I have since been instrumental in enhancing their website with timely page updates, style refinements, and brand adjustments. Additionally, I’ve bolstered their online presence with crucial security updates and SEO optimizations, among other improvements, ensuring their website remains dynamic and secure.

The client, already using Square POS, was looking for an e-commerce solution that could seamlessly integrate with their existing Square inventory and payment systems. The goal was to eliminate the hassle of managing multiple platforms. Leveraging WooCommerce and some custom development, I created an online store that not only automates itself but also perfectly matches the stellar branding crafted by Marie at SBC. This approach streamlined their operations and brought a cohesive look and feel to their online presence.

Following the successful WordPress transition project for this client, I was brought on board for ongoing updates and support, aligning with the dynamic nature of their startup brand. In close collaboration with their design team, I ensured that their marketing site stayed fresh and relevant with regular updates. Consistent with the original project’s ethos, all pages and site features were crafted prioritizing speed, SEO effectiveness, and ease of editing. This approach empowered the client to efficiently manage periodic updates to copy and images, maintaining their site’s relevance and user engagement.

The client, operating a GatsbyJS site with headless WordPress as their CMS, faced challenges with their marketing team’s ability to swiftly update site content. Additionally, the site wasn’t reliably updating with new blog posts. The client sought a solution that allowed continuous use of WordPress for blog publishing, while enhancing the site’s visual editability.

Addressing this need, I crafted a custom WordPress solution, integrating Elementor as the page builder for its user-friendly interface and flexibility. This approach was based on design flats provided by their design team. Throughout the development, I focused on ensuring speed, SEO optimization, and simplicity for the client’s team to manage updates. Elementor played a central role in streamlining the content management process, complemented by custom coding and a minimal reliance on plugins, to achieve an efficient, user-friendly, and robust website.

The client, initiating a new investment venture, required a website that effectively showcased their investment portfolios and past business endeavors. In collaboration with the client, we selected brand colors and identified essential site features. Opting for a straightforward approach, I set up a simple WordPress installation, utilizing Elementor for its user-friendly interface. This choice was strategically made to ensure the client could easily manage and maintain the site as needed, aligning with their preference for simplicity and functionality in their online presence.

The client, with an existing Shopify site, required assistance in managing content and security updates, along with overseeing the API connection between their site and the warehousing software they utilized. My role involved regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of the API link, which was crucial for their logistics operations. Additionally, I identified and implemented new features to enhance their site’s functionality. This included developing a product review system, creating customer email capture flows, and implementing SEO improvements to bolster their online presence and user engagement.

In collaboration with Marie here at SBC, we designed and built a feature-rich WooCommerce e-commerce site. A standout aspect is the custom membership multi-step form, ingeniously crafted to save user preferences, allowing the client to create tailor-made products. Additionally, we integrated a custom membership dashboard where users can conveniently manage shipping, billing, orders, and product preferences. Another innovative feature is the “build-your-own” product kit functionality, offering users the flexibility to choose from a wide range of options, creating personalized products. Underpinning this WooCommerce site is a WordPress foundation, enhanced with a custom-built page builder and an extensive amount of custom coding, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
